Overview
Zaptec Sense is a metering sensor that reads the building's total power use in real time, either from the smart meter or an external energy meter. It lets the chargers speed up when spare capacity is available and ease off when the building is busy.
The result is efficient charging that keeps the main fuses safe and prevents nuisance breaker trips when appliances, heat pumps and EV charging all run at once. It can also prioritise surplus solar for charging.

Homes and small sites where EV charging shares a supply with the building and needs protecting from overload.
