Overview
Wieland podis is a flat ribbon cable power distribution system for decentralised, flexible supply, carrying up to around 60 A along its length. Its insulation-piercing technology lets tap-off modules be added, moved or replaced at any point without cutting the cable or shutting the system down.
That makes it quick to install and easy to reconfigure, cutting installation and engineering time significantly. Wieland offers a podis range aimed specifically at EV charging infrastructure.
Typical applications
Decentralised power distribution to rows of chargers in car parks and depots, where tap-off points may change over time.
